Vine Lodge can be found just off Gravel Hill in Peppard Common. Sonning Common is the nearest village offering good amenities with supermarket,doctor and dental surgeries and schooling for all ages. Local gastro pubs
include The Greyhound and the Bird in Hand. The market and riverside town of Henley-on-Thames is around 5 miles distance with a good choice of restaurants and bistros, 3-screen cinema and a theatre. The town plays host to many events throughout the year, including two music festivals every July and August and the Henley Royal Rowing Regatta. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ideal for country pursuits and is well served with bridleways and footpaths for horse-riding, cycling and walking. Good schooling, both in the state and private sectors, is plentiful.
Henley has its own branch line railway station which links via Twyford to London with fast commuter trains at peak times. Reading and its station, a major national rail hub, is around 5 miles. Fast trains for the commuter take under half an hour to London's Paddington Station and Crossrail is due to open here in 2019.
The M40 at Junction 4 is about 12 miles and the M4 via the A404M is 18 miles. Both have excellent access to the motorway networks and the London airports at Heathrow and Gatwick.
