Nearby, Reading also has an excellent commuter rail services to London Paddington with Crossrail due to arrive in December 2019. The picturesque and historic village of Sonning-on-Thames is 15 minutes drive away. This popular village has a wonderful theatre based at Sonning Mill, a well-regarded village inn and three restaurants.
