Turville sits in the Chiltern Hills in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within the Hambleden Valley. This sought after village is famed for its beauty and is well-known as the location for many scenes from “The Vicar of Dibley” with Windmill Cottage itself featuring in many episodes. Turville is also very popular for many other television and film locations including” Midsomer Murders” and Goodnight Mister Tom” and Cobstone Mill on the hill overlooking the village also featured as the family home in the popular classic “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” film.

The idyllic village centres around a well-tended green, a delightful traditional public house, and the church dates back to the 12th Century. There are footpaths and bridleways in the area perfect for country pursuits.

Turville is well placed for access to the M40 motorway via J5 at Stokenchurch or J6 at Watlington. Whilst the pretty market towns of Henley-on-Thames, Watlington and Marlow are all close at hand with an excellent range of shops and recreational facilities. The larger centres of Oxford, High Wycombe, and Reading are also easily accessible as well as good rail and motorway links to central London and Crossrail (The Elizabeth Line) opening in 2019.

Good schooling in the area is plentiful in both the state and private sectors.
